Health Systems and Population Studies Division focuses on conducting research on the implementation of Pocket Colposcope for cervical cancer screening under the Advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (AdSEARCH) project. The research aims to improve early screening and diagnosis of cervical cancer in low-resource settings.

Position Description:
The Skilled Worker will report to the Research Investigator and will be responsible for various project-related activities, and provide support to the team with the objective of achieving the target and goals of the project within the guidelines of project protocol and organisational values and guidelines. S/he will be involved in –

• Understand project scope, activities, timelines, targets, areas, scope of work etc. as per project requirements;
• Receive project assignment from supervisor and implement as per project plan;
• Assist study nurses in enrolling participants attending OPD for VIA screening program
• Maintain a supply of instruments and logistics required for the project as per guidelines;
• Proper documentation of stocks and other logistics used for project-related activities;
• Counsel and encourage eligible patients to be enrolled in the study
• Support team for executing project-related day-to-day tasks in accordance with project protocol;
• Escalate any issues to the supervisor for his/her guidance.

Required qualifications and experience:

• SSC pass or equivalent.
• At least 1-year relevant experience;
• Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in government health facilities with cervical cancer screening programs.

Location: Mymensingh & Kishoreganj

Number of Positions: 05

Contract Type and Duration:

• Short Term Contractual Service Agreement basis; duration will be 4 months with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and performance.

Salary & benefits:

• Tk.17,410/-(consolidated) per month inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances.
• Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr, b and subsidised canteen. Transport and Daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
