The Senior Human Resources Associate (e-learning) will advise on and support the design and development of the online platform, self-directed learning programmes as well as integration and management of content on Agora, a system to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development while providing reliable data for strategic decision-making.
The efficiency and efficacy of the Senior Human Resources Associate (eLearning), contributes to ensuring that staff within UNICEF develop the skills and knowledge that enables them to effectively tackle their duties and tasks, thus strengthening the capacity and enabling the organization in helping the most vulnerable women and children across the world. This is a backfill temporary appointment due to parental leave with an expected contract end date of 31 August 2025.

How can you make a difference?

The Senior Human Resources Associate (e-learning) will advise on and support the design and development of the online platform, self-directed learning programmes as well as integration and management of content on Agora, a system to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development while providing reliable data for strategic decision-making.

Key functions, accountabilities, and related tasks:

  1. Content creation and management support
  2. Testing of platform updates and upgrades
  3. Providing guidance and training to content and platform developers, UNICEF and partner offices and administrators
  4. Third-tier end-user support
  5. E-learning content editing
  6. Creation of platform-related communication assets

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Completion of secondary education (i.e., high school diploma) is a minimum requirement. University Degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Human Resources, Public/Business Administration or any other relevant field is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant practical work experience in system administration, curriculum design and development, e-learning development is required. (A completed BA degree from an accredited institution qualifies as 3 years’ experience and will be counted towards work experience requirements.)
  • Experience and knowledge of a wide array of Microsoft 365 applications is required.
  • Experience in developing user guidance & how-to guides is required.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g. Moodle, Totara) is required.
  • Customer service orientation is required.
  • Professional training design and delivery expertise is an asset.
  • Experience using PowerBI Pro is an asset.
  • Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is required. 
  • Knowledge of an additional UN Language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is considered an asset.

Applicants must be nationals of EU countries or in possession of valid Hungarian work permits allowing full-time employment. Please attach a copy of your work permit to your application submission.

Internal applicants (holders of fixed-term, continuing contracts) from the GSSC are required to complete their Learning Paths corresponding to their current level before application. Additionally, they must attach a snapshot of the completed path to their applications. Applications that do not meet this requirement will not be considered.
