Social Media Comment Moderator Intern

Overview

Rowdy Girl Sanctuary is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to serve as a Social Media Comment Moderator Intern. The intern will be responsible for managing and engaging with comments on the organization’s Instagram and Facebook platforms. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining our online presence and fostering positive interactions with our audience.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor comments on Rowdy Girl Sanctuary’s Instagram and Facebook posts regularly.

2. Engage with followers by responding to comments in a timely and professional manner, fostering meaningful conversations, and addressing inquiries or concerns.

3. Moderate comments to ensure they align with the organization’s values and community guidelines.

4. Identify and report any inappropriate or offensive comments or content to the appropriate team member.

5. Work closely with the social media team to develop strategies for enhancing audience engagement and managing comments effectively.

6. Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices to optimize engagement and response strategies.

7. Provide regular reports on comment activity and engagement metrics to the social media team.

Requirements:

1. Passion for animal rights and advocacy for farm animals.

2. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

3. Ability to maintain a professional and positive tone in online interactions.

4. Familiarity with Instagram and Facebook platforms, including their comment moderation features.

5. Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

6. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

7. Previous experience in social media management or moderation is a plus, but not required.
