Overview

About the opportunity:

Are you passionate about helping animals? Do you enjoy cruising around on social media and staying up to date with online trends? Do you love creating digital content? Are you looking to gain some valuable professional experience? If so, you might be just the type of person we’re looking for!

We are currently expanding our social media team in an effort to boost our online reach.  In order to do this, we’re looking to invite positive, energetic and creative individuals with a passion for vegan living to join us on that journey. This is a remote volunteer position that can serve as a great learning opportunity in terms of content creation, branding, copywriting and digital marketing, not to mention collaboration with a team of amazing people that share your interest in animal welfare advocacy!

Does this sound like something you’re interested in?  If so, please read on!

Who should apply:

We are currently in search of vegan creatives with strong design skills who can create brand aligned content for our social media accounts. Knowledge of copywriting and experience using both Canva and Slack are also a major plus.  Additionally, we request a commitment of at least 3 months with the ability to dedicate 1-2 hours per week towards content creation.

Uh oh.  Don’t have much experience but are really interested in volunteering with us? That’s okay! Don’t let it deter you from applying. If you’re eager to learn, we can work together to help you build up some skills.

How to apply:

As part of our onboarding process, we ask that applicants create a sample social media post along with accompanying copy to demonstrate their skills and/or comfortability with design, branding and copywriting. You can find more details about the project here.

Once you’ve completed your post, please attach it to your application submission along with a brief message about yourself and why you’d like to volunteer with us. Then, after we’ve received and reviewed your submission, our Social Media Team Coordinator will contact you regarding next steps.

About The Piece of Heaven Vegan Project Society

Piece of Heaven Project is a not-for-profit farm animal sanctuary located in Burton, British Columbia. Located on 95 acres of secluded land tucked away in the forests, our sanctuary currently serves as home to over 100 animals.  Providing refuge to animals and visitors alike, the loudest non-animal sound that anyone will hear while at the sanctuary is the rush of water as it flows from the district creek into a lake nearby.

Our plans for the future are ambitious.  By sharing the important work that we do, we aim to offer a unique combination of animal rescue, retreat and corporate/vegan influencer education on-site in the near future.

To help us track our recruitment effort, please indicate in your email / cover letter where (tendersglobal.net) you saw this job posting.
