About the role:

As a dynamic storyteller, the Social Media Coordinator will enhance SANE’s social media presence by creating engaging, video-focused content. You’ll drive impactful social campaigns to increase reach and awareness for SANE’s services, community initiatives, and advocacy programs. This role involves leveraging emerging trends, analysing performance data, and exploring new platforms to boost social reach by 10% year-over-year. Strong design, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a collaborative mindset and interest in data analysis, are essential.

Duties:

  • Stay updated on social media trends and insights to shape strategies within SANE’s broader marketing plan.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute integrated campaigns, participating in content brainstorming sessions.
  • Build and manage SANE’s social media calendar to boost reach and engagement across platforms, aiming for a 10% YoY increase.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of social channels, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Spotify.
  • Research and plan for new social channels and produce video-first content, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Manage content publishing, attend agency meetings for alignment, and support advertising efforts with boosted posts.
  • Provide regular reports on social media performance and manage content publishing on SANE’s website.

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to think creatively and propose innovative ideas.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise competing workloads and deadlines, and a willingness to respond to new requests at short notice.
  • Understanding of digital marketing channels and interconnections with social media.
  • Building and maintaining strong brand presence across multiple social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube.
  • Use of social scheduling tools.
  • Designing and producing engaging multimedia content, including graphics, videos, and written posts.
  • Knowledge of graphic design and video editing software, e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva.
  • Use of analytics dashboards, e.g. Google Analytics, Meta, and experience analysing social media metrics to derive insights and refine strategies.
  • Navigating advertising platforms, such as Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, etc.
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices in social media governance.
  • Conducting audience research to understand demographics, preferences, and behaviours.
  • Working with suppliers and agencies, e.g. digital advertising agencies, videographers.
  • Basic html website publishing, e.g. Joomla, WordPress or similar.
