  • Seeking a Social Media Coordinator – Contract role.

Are you eager to tell stories that matter? Do you have proven social media experience? Are you a skilled communicator and short-form video storyteller? Do you want to play a part in tackling the nature crisis?

This is the role for you.

About The Quoin

The Quoin is a private property in the heart of the Tasmanian Midlands dedicated to reimagining regeneration. We’re on a mission to demonstrate how private land custodianship, conservation, technology and sustainable business activities can come together for the good of all species. No two days are the same at The Quoin, which is why we’re on the hunt for a creative storyteller who can help us share our learnings and progress with fellow conservationists, nature-tech enthusiasts, land-owners and people who want to play a part in conserving our planet.

About Wedgetail

Wedgetail is a venture conservation company dedicated to conserving and restoring land through sustainable investment. The Quoin is part of the Wedgetail family. It is Wedgetail’s demonstration property and research and development lab. The Quoin is where the Wedgetail team learns by doing.

Some stories you might tell

  • The cutest photos from our motion-activated camera survey.
  • The end-to-end process of making biochar.
  • How we conduct ecological burns and how they benefit the land.
  • How to find a wedge-tailed eagle nest.
  • What is lichen and why is it important?
  • The launch of Nathaniel Nguyen’s innate predator recognition experiment. (Have you ever put a fibreglass goat in a field just to see how wallabies will react?)

  • Keeping an eye on social media trends, pitching relevant ways to jump on board, and, where approved, getting the videos live in 48 hours
  • Deep-diving into the month’s social results and pulling out actionable learnings
