Job Title: Social Media Intern

JOB SUMMARY 

This position is for a creative social media intern to work in the Counseling Center. Duties will include tracking analytics for social
media campaigns, creating social media posting schedules, writing captions for social media posts and creating content.

The
University reserves the right to change or assign other duties to this position.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND
TASKS: 

• Manage the social media calendar.
• Brainstorm campaign ideas.
• Analyze analytics to gauge
  the success of campaigns. Brainstorm and research ideas for original content.
• Create compelling graphics to share on social
  media.
• Write social media captions that speak to our target audience.
• Help create and edit short-form videos.
• Develop new strategies for increasing engagement.
• Assist with photo/video content shoots.
• Other duties as
  assigned

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES 

-Consistent social media campaigns and posts for the Counseling
Center.

-Increase Counseling Center social media following.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent knowledge
  of Instagram.
• Knowledge of analytical tools.
• Creative mindset.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to work in
  a team.
• Prior experience with marketing or social media.

EDUCATION/SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/PROFESSIONAL
CERTIFICATIONS

Required: Excellent knowledge of Instagram.

Preferred: Familiarity with mental
health content.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This hybrid (partially remote) position is grant-funded for one year. It
is for 6 hours/week during fall and spring semesters.
