Overview

Job Title: Social Media Manager and Editor – Freelance moving to Part-Time

**Position:** Social Media Manager and Editor

**Hours:** 14 hours per week, flexible schedule spread out over the whole week

**Location:** Remote (UK or Northern Ireland based). Some in-person work could be required too, usually in London

**Salary:** National Living Wage or London Living Wage, depending on location

Are you passionate about leveraging the power of social media to make a positive impact for animals? We’re looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Social Media Manager and Editor, working closely with a former influential mainstream media national TV news journalist dedicated to animal advocacy, PR, film making, entrepreneurship..

This role would suit someone who is a motivated self-starter and can focus working from their own home. Someone who is ok with working predominately with the London-based CEO mainly 1-2-1  especially at first, rather than in a big team. However, you will be liasing with other people too as part of the role.

The CEO is someone who can open doors as she is operating at a high level and uses that for animal rights and welfare.

**Responsibilities:**

– Manage and enhance social media presence of 1-2 channels associated with the CEO and the company including a possible new association

– Manage and enhance social media presence of the CEO’s new growing YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter

– Increase followers, subscribers, and engagement across platforms for the CEO

– Think of competition and giveaways ideas and concepts

– Conceptualize and execute creative campaigns

– Create engaging reels

– Seek free gifts or arrange to borrow them in exchange for social media

– Seek sponsors for content

– Set up interviews for the CEO to do YouTube videos on

– Have good technical knowledge of audio, sounds, lighting, editing, camera equipment ideally including a DSLR

– Edit high quality videos for YouTube implementing talking heads, library footage, graphics and sounds, at the very least

– Design compelling ThumbNails on Canva

– Edit YouTube videos using Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Premiere Pro, or similar tools

– Group Admin of coaching group on Skool.com answering questions from clients and prospects.

**Qualifications:**

– Proven experience in social media management and content creation

– Proficiency in video editing software

– Strong understanding of various social media platforms

– Ability to work independently and remotely

– Own equipment, including a laptop

– Creativity and innovative thinking

– Transition from freelance to part-time role that comes with benefits and increased hours, and possibly transition into full time permanent role

– Immediate start for the right candidate (you’ll need to get registered as self employed or register as such, and do your own self assessment but hopefully you’ll be doing that already) then you can transition soon to PAYE part-time if preferred or required.
