What We Are Looking For

This position serves to support the mission of Baylor University as the Social Media Specialist to create content for the Digital Marketing team. 

An Associate’s degree and an active Christian faith is required. A Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant work experience is preferred. A combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.

A valid Texas Driver License with a clear driving record of at least two years is required.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do

  • Create content (taking photos, filming and editing videos, and writing posts) for one or more University-level social media platforms.
  • Participate in the management (planning, posting, handling replies/comments/DMs, etc.) of one or more University-level social media platforms
  • Staying up to date on social media platforms and tools as well as cultural and social media trends
  • Aiding the team in developing, implementing and reviewing social media strategy
  • Writing for BaylorProud blog
  • Able to use simple tools to complete quick-turn social media projects
  • Understands visual media and is adept at telling stories via photos and video
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission  
  • Ability to comply with University policies  
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
