Social Media Specialist
Job Description
This position performs a variety of duties to ensure Arizona PBS – an affiliate of ASU Media Enterprise – receives comprehensive social media coverage. The Social Media Specialist establishes and maintains the online reputation of Arizona PBS, identifies trends in social media, and performs behind the scenes work, with daily monitoring, posting, and updating. Works closely with Brand Engagement and Marketing leadership to create cohesive and consistent communication based on priorities set by leadership.

We are searching for someone who wants to be a part of the Arizona PBS BEAM TEAM (Brand Engagement and Marketing). This person will be supported, challenged, and creatively inspired by our team.
Can YOU assist in setting up, updating, and building social media posts, and monitor our social media sites?
Can YOU create and maintain visible professional presence on Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Threads and other social media platforms for Arizona PBS and specialty pages like AZPBSkids LEARN!
Can YOU utilize social media monitoring tools and analyzes data to provide detailed analysis documents that trend social media performance?
Can YOU monitor the social media landscape and related trends?
Can YOU create and schedule all weekly posts for various social media websites and provide weekly updates of the social media environment within the BEAM team meetings?
Can YOU develop best practices, recommend rules of engagement and innovative initiatives for the use of various digital/social/mobile media?
Can YOU research relevant social media content and keep up to date with ongoing social media changes and innovations?
Can YOU attend Arizona PBS events – engage our social media audience and cover the event?
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, IT, Finance, Marketing or related field and two years of related experience OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
