Emma Organization Background

Emma Organization for Human Development was established in 2013 by a group of women activists and experts in various fields including gender equality, law, education, health and mental health.

We are a non-profit organization providing rehabilitation, development assistance, and programs to women and vulnerable communities in Kurdistan. The organization coordinates and cooperates with government, institutions, networks and groups working in the same field to ensure sustainability.

Responsibilities

1. Member of a mobile team visiting regularly the targeted area making assessments through special intake form and encourage them to participate in the community center and project
2. Participation in multidisciplinary staff meeting and discussion all the cases in weekly team meeting for making assessments through special intake form of social workers to make an individual plan .
3. Follow- up the progress of the cases and individual plan through accurate records and preparing weekly and monthly reports.
4. Present cases to the community Center Manger and refer cases to the psychiatrist for assessment, screening and treatment if needed
5. Provide a proper advice and support to individual who are experienced personal
6. Assessing success through writing clients stories at least one case
7. Liaising to the target community on SGBV and gender based violence for example conducting seminars or workshops relevant to the project.
8. Offer general information and counseling support to the clients and make referrals to community center, NGO and local authorities.

12. Working in a confidential setting and documentation and filling of the clients file.

• Bachelor degree in sociology/psychology.
• Art least 1-2 years’ experience in social
• High standard of spoken and written Kurdish and Arabic, English is added
• Due to the sensitivity matter of the job, female social worker is preferable.
• Strong belief and high regards for human rights including gender equality and minority rights.
• Good communication skills including ability to gain trust and build relationships with new communi
