Our client, a well-respected Lexcel accredited legal practice with multiple offices, is seeking an experienced Residential Property Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Legal Executive to lead their thriving property department which has a very good reputation.Position Overview
As the Head of the Residential Property Department, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a team, handling complex property matters for the firm’s diverse client base. This position offers an excellent opportunity to shape the department’s growth, engage in business development initiatives, and contribute to the firm’s ongoing success and reputation for excellence in the property sector.Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the residential property department, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality service delivery
• Handle complex property matters, providing expert advice and guidance to clients
• Engage in business development activities to expand the firm’s client base and identify new opportunities for growth
• Take ownership of compliance processes related to SQE and AML, ensuring the department adheres to all relevant regulations and best practices
• Mentor and develop the skills of the property team, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment
• Maintain an excellent claims record and demonstrate a deep understanding of compliance issues

Requirements

• Qualified Residential Property Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Legal Executive with at least 7 years’ PQE
• Proven track record of handling complex property matters and delivering exceptional client service
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
• Excellent business development skills and a willingness to actively contribute to the firm’s growth
• Valid UK driving license, as travel between offices may be required
• Demonstrated understanding of compliance issues and a commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards
