SOS–International Membership and Engagement Manager
SOS–International is looking for a new Membership and Engagement Manager to engage, empower and
support SOS-International members and the Green Office Movement.
ROLE SPECIFICS
Location: Open to applicants in the UK, or any European country with a Green Office. For
applicants based outside of the UK, a host organisation will be sought or the role will be
offered on a contractor basis. We would be delighted for a Green Officer to offer hosting of
this role and SOS-International will cover the cost.
Working patterns: 35 hours per week. Typical working times will between 9-5 Monday to Friday,
although SOS-UK offers flexible working patterns subject to individual agreement. Some meetings
and events will take place in the evening or in the weekend and work patterns may vary due to
working across different time zones.
Job share considered.
Salary: Starting salary starting salary £42,076 per annum, rising to £46,582. For employees
based in the UK we provide up to 6% pension contribution, with life assurance for all those in
the pension scheme. We have annual guaranteed pay point increases as well as a cost of living
pay increase policy.

SOS-International was launched in 2019 to support student and youth groups globally to lead on
sustainability and social justice. Our role is to connect, strengthen and scale impactful
initiatives – so together we can go further and faster. Our work is shaped by research and is
designed to support and strengthen our members.
SOS-International is currently hosted by SOS-UK, who is the legal employer of SOS-International
staff. SOS-International staff are part of the SOS-UK staff team giving them access to the rest
of the SOS-UK team for input, support and advice.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As Membership and Engagement Manager for SOS-International you will take on an exciting role in
catalysing engagement and enhancing the impact of SOS-International for our members. You will
work closely with the Managing Director of SOS-International to develop a meaningful engagement
strategy. You will work with SOS-International and the Green Office Movement members to empower
and support them, facilitating collaboration and joint working, growing our membership and the
value of the movement.
You will also take a lead delivery role for centrally-delivered engagement projects like Green
Impact, as well as developing new opportunities for joint working with and between our members.
