Do you have Relevant experience of 7-10 years in managing complex WASH and development projects, preferably in an international NGO/operational UN agency/equivalent, out of which at least five years should be supervisory/team leader/managerial experience?

The Role:

 

The Refugee Response Programme Manager will be leading the design, implementation, management, and coordination of effective and appropriate large-scale humanitarian interventions in Gambella region. This includes the humanitarian strategic management, representation, coordination, programme management, advocacy, and programme support at senior levels, particularly around the South Sudanese Refugee Response.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:

 

  • Extensive experience in large-scale humanitarian programming at the senior level and management in complex situations and insecure environments.
  • At least two years of experience in the refugee response programme, especially in leading, designing, coordinating, fundraising, and understanding programme cycle management.
  • Knowledge in conflict resolution and international humanitarian law and commitments to humanitarian principles and actions.
  • Adaptable in approach to work with a willingness to work under pressure in a demanding environment and take Initiative and motivation to work independently and within a team context and develop solutions to problems.
  • Highly flexible in style and able to produce creative and pragmatic solutions to complex problems. 
  • Proven ability to work with multi-million budgets mobilized from a diverse range of donors, including monitoring and, evaluation and reporting.
  • A proven record of effective and complex programme management in humanitarian response, including programme development, managing budgets, staff, and grants. This includes excellent people management skills, with a good understanding of team dynamics and capacity building.
  • Proven ability to work creatively, innovatively, and effectively with limited direct supervision.
  • Proven experience as a team player and demonstrably co-operate and work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion 
  • To be familiar with and abide by Oxfam International CoC and procedures and other regulatory international governing codes (e.g., CHS and sphere)
  • Experience in implementing gendered humanitarian interventions and mainstreaming protection in humanitarian interventions. 
  • Excellent communicator with strong written and reporting skills and an excellent ability to influence verbally to persuade with diplomacy and tact. 
  • Excellent English communication skills and good computer command (MS Excel, MS Word, etc.)
