Southern Adirondack Trail Crew Supervisor

Trail Crew Supervisor (Facility Operations Assistant 2) Rate of pay $19.27/hour, 40-hour work week, 5-month seasonal job Work includes overseeing the trail crew working on a variety of trail projects on State lands in theSouthern Adirondacks. The Trail Crew Supervisor will be responsible for working with and keeping the crew on task as they complete various trail related projects. The Trail Crew Supervisor will work with and maintain hand tools and equipment. They will be responsible for keeping track of Trail Crew Member’s work schedule, communicating with administrative supervisor, interacting with the Land Manager regarding scope of work for each project and keeping records of progress.

Minimum Qualifications: All the above qualifications for trail crew member, plus the following:

• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid Class D Driver’s License
• Must have experience in trail work, preferably sustainable trail building and hardeningtechniques
• One year of practical experience in performing general construction or maintenance tasks
