Position Summary
Position provides financial information related to sponsored funds, working as part of the Research Administration team.

Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works with team to develop Workday reports.
  • Monitors subcontract invoices, investigating WD related issues with the contract blanket orders.
  • Investigates expense issues hitting sponsored funds, including mapping errors.
  • Responsible for close-out activities for sponsored projects, this will include reviewing transactions, obligations, ensuring that all costs are paid/cleared for inclusion on the final invoice and creating a procedure for close-out.
  • Acts as liaison with SPA (DHHS/Contracts/Private) for issues with outgoing invoices, close-out activities.
  • Works with members of the research admin team with data gathering for the purpose of projections and/or requests from Executive Director/Division Directors.
  • Assists with special projects for the research admin team, this can include award, expense and revenue data gathering.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of general office equipment, computers, calculator with effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Utilizing programs/software such as financial systems, Workday, MS Office, etc.

Required Qualifications

Equivalent of Bachelor’s degree in business/accounting with five plus years of experience in accounting, financial, auditing or related field, including word processing and spreadsheet.

Salary Range
$48,700.00 – $80,500.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one’s qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
