GIZ International Services is participating in the project “Long-term Technical Assistance for the implementation of the Programme to Support Competition and Safety of Consumer Products in Sub-Saharan Africa – West Africa Component (UEMOA/ECOWAS) – PACoSPro” , funded by the European Union.

• The general objective (impact) to which this action contributes is the following: to improve
• the business environment, competitiveness and growth of the economies of West Africa,
• in particular, and sub-Saharan Africa, in general.

The specific objectives (achievements) of this contract are as follows:

• Specific objective (achievement) 1 : Strengthen the regulatory and policy frameworks of West African regional and national competition authorities,
• Specific objective (outcome) 2: Strengthen the competition enforcement capacitiesof regional and national authorities, competition courts and tribunals
• Specific objective (achievement) 3 : Promote compliance by the public and private sectors with competition law and consumer welfare

Your profile

Qualifications and skills:

• Have a master’s degree (at least 5 years of higher education) in law,political science, development economics, international relations, or a fieldcompatible with this project. In the absence of the required degree, equivalent relevant professional experienceof 10 years of experience will be required,Great aptitude for working in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team, for coordination,networking and facilitation,Have excellent command of themost common IT tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and messaging,
• Perfect command of written and spoken French, and knowledge of English.
