About the position

Located in Toowoomba at our Symes Thorpe Residential Aged Care facility you will provide Support and guidance to both residents and staff ensuring spiritual and pastoral resources are available.

This part time role (20 hrs per fortnight) will see you coordinating religious, spiritual and pastoral care providers and volunteers for all pastoral care activities. Work in conjunction with Managers to implement routines and activities, whilst identifying any issues and providing solutions.

As Coordinator you will provide professional and operational support to Pastoral Care volunteers.

About you

  • Demonstrated participation within a local Christian Community
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage and provide appropriate pastoral care volunteer coordination.
  • Understanding of the Aged Care Act and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements (highly desirable)
  • Previous experience in a pastoral care/hospital or community setting (preferred)
  • Foundational Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or Cert IV Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care
  • Full Covid Vaccination evidence
  • National Police Clearance
