About the role
The Sponsorship and Fundraising Officer is a brand new position developed specifically to generate funding through donations in various forms, sponsorships and fundraising to support the organisation meet its strategic goals.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Be the main point of contact and source of knowledge for sponsorship, donations and fundraising programs, activities and partners, including managing any incoming enquiries
- Contribute to the preparation of the annual Vasey RSL Care Fundraising and Sponsorship plan and budget, and generate the target annual revenue associated with the plan
- Lead projects and activities relating to sponsorship, donations and fundraising, working collaboratively with external stakeholders to appropriately consult, delegate, execute and evaluate as needed
- Provide insights and analysis about sponsorship and fundraising in the aged care, housing, community care and NFP sectors
- Create regular reports on key performance indicators, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Travel across Metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria will be required.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will be a self-motivated, creative and energetic fundraising professional.
You will have:
- Tertiary qualification and/or equivalent fundraising and/or sponsorship management experience in a corporate or NFP organisation.
- Sound knowledge of fundraising legislation, practices and philosophy of charitable giving.
- Demonstration of successful major gift program development, planning and management
- Exceptional presentation, interpersonal and communication skills and ability to liaise with a broad range of socially, culturally and economically diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage your own time well to ensure appropriate allocation across core activities (estimated split of 50% partnerships/sponsorships, 30% donations, 20% other fundraising).
