| Position Description | A BSU Transit Bus Driver is responsible for the safe operation of University-leased/BAT-owned buses and BSU-owned buses to provide efficient, reliable, and courteous passenger service transporting students and community members to their destination(s) on campus routes and/or BAT Centre route, as well as taking routine care of the buses. BSU Transit Drivers will also have the opportunity to transport clubs, organizations, athletes and/or other BSU affiliated groups to University-related functions. Buses used will be a Class B/coach category, mini-buses/vans are a Class D category. Individual must be an undergraduate student currently enrolled in a degree program at BSU. |
| Preferred Qualifications | 1. Individual must be currently CPR certified or capable of receiving certification. 2. Individual must be familiar with all policies, and routes/vehicles operated by the BSU Transit Service 3. Individual must be familiar with general first aid procedures. |
| Physical Demands | 1. Completion of a pre-trip inspection checklist of the bus to be driven; report defect/mechanical problems to appropriate personnel. 2. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of bus interior with shift end 3. Assist with loading and unloading of buses and other duties as assigned. |
