Job Description

AECOM has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Accounting/Finance Analyst based in Ocoee, Florida. This role involves assessing the current state assessment and designing the future state for accounting and finance related activities related to in-state and out-of-state tolling transactions under interoperability agreements with Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise. The ideal work location is Florida Turnpike Enterprise in Ocoee, Florida with potential work location options in Orlando, Tampa, Coral Gables, Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, or Tallahassee, Florida.

Responsibilities:

  • Review existing standard operating procedures, process documents, working files, G/L Use Cases, Trial Balance reports, file exchanges processes, data requirements etc.

  • Participate in working sessions to review the current processes performed by staff members.

  • Prepare a time study for the respective processes.

  • Document roles and responsibilities of current staff members.

  • Identify and document process hand-offs and interdependencies.

  • Document process findings, gaps, issues, and opportunities.

  • Propose process improvement solutions for future state to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and enhance accuracy and timeliness.

  • Prepare updated standard operating procedures and policies.

  • Develop training plan, materials, and documents.

  • Provide training and support to accounting staff on updated processes, tools, and systems to ensure a smooth transition and adoption of new processes.

  • Support the development of the proposed scope, transition plan, approach and findings.

  • Present proposal to management and key stakeholders.

  • Support detailed development and execution of the project plan.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or related fields.

  • 8 years of accounting and/or financial-related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Experience and knowlege of accounting principles, financial statements, and internal controls.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience as an accounting/financial analyst with expertise in reconciliation and trial balance/general ledger processes.

  • Experience reviewing and interpreting data, transactions, policies, and financial processes.

  • Experience with project initiatives; problem solving and results.

  • Experience in developing process maps and writing standard operating procedures.

  • Financial and systems analytical skills and initiative experience

  • Experience with accounting software. Oracle a plus.

  • Experience and proficiency in teamwork and successful collaboration.

  • Experience and proven track record completing projects within deadlines.

The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position typically is $100,000 to $160,000.
