Sr. IT Auditor – NBE

 

Creighton University is seeking to hire a part time, non-benefit eligible Senior IT auditor.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the Chief Audit Executive (CAE), the Senior Information Technology (IT) Auditor part-time .40 FTE assumes responsibility for and performs value-added assurance and consulting engagements on the approved risk-based annual service plan in accordance with professional standards and Internal Audit Department policies and procedures. The Senior IT Auditor is a driver and key resource for completion of information technology engagements and will assist the CAE in the development of the annual risk-based IT audit plan. The Senior IT Auditor is responsible for engagement execution including planning, fieldwork, and reporting and will work independently but may also supervise the work of team of auditors including student interns and/or contractors (two to three individuals).

 

Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Intelligence/Analytics, Computer Science, Accounting, or Business Administration.

·       Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Intelligence and Analytics, or Computer Science (preferred)

·       Four to seven years of IT audit experience and working knowledge of professional auditing principles and practices generally, and specific to IT auditing. Previous experience in internal audit or public accounting is preferred.

·       Hold an active professional certification: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

·       If not a CISA, agreeable to obtain this specialty certification within two years of employment.
