Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Sr Manager – Highway PM/CM Lead to be based in Southern California.

The Sr Manager – Highway PM/CM Lead role is a doer/seller role overseeing clients, projects and staff in the highway PM/CM sector. Responsibilities would include identifying potential pursuits, leading pursuits, providing senior leadership oversight, hiring, and overall growth and competitiveness for highway PM/CM.

  • Supports, oversees and coordinates engineering production activities for an operating unit.

  • Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative.

  • Initiates and maintains contact with senior-level management within the company and is skilled in dispute resolution and negotiation of critical issues.

At this level, the individual will have demonstrated understanding of project delivery requirements, creativity, foresight, working with a multi-disciplinary team to meet project goals and deliver high quality technical excellence.

  • Demonstrates mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual operations problems, determining operational objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.

  • Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.

Qualifications

Required:

  • BA/BS + 10 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership

  • California PE License

  • Driving is required for this position

Preferred:

  • Experience working in Caltrans ROW and/or Tolling operations

  • Strong relationships with current leadership at SBCTA, RCTC, RCTD, and Inland Empire Cities.

  • Experience as people manager.

  • Strong knowledge base of construction industry and resources in Inland Empire

  • Experience project manager on construction management contracts

  • Technical writing skills

  • Past highway PMCM experience as a consultant in a key staff position for Caltrans, SBCTA, RCTC, RCTD, or other Southern California agencies.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Experience as Construction Manager or Resident Engineer on public works transportation projects with construction value $100M+.

  • Demonstrated experience as successful pursuit leader on major highway PMCM contracts.

Additional Information

Offered rate of compensation (California) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $145K to $250K.
