The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience working with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and be capable of designing, developing, and integrating robust and scalable ETL solutions. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.Requirements1. Systems Design

  • Design and architect ETL processes and data integration solutions using SSIS that are scalable, maintainable, and secure.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical designs.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to ensure alignment with best practices and project goals.
  • Create detailed system documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and technical manuals.

2. Programming/Software Development

  • Develop high-quality ETL solutions using SSIS, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for SSIS packages.
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and other automated tests.

3. Systems Integration and Build

  • Integrate various data sources and applications using SSIS.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes that ensure seamless data flow and interoperability between systems.
  • Ensure that integration solutions are robust, scalable, and efficient.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to address integration-related issues and provide support during the build and deployment phases.

4. Data Management and Optimization

  • Optimize ETL processes for performance and efficiency.
  • Monitor data integration jobs and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency throughout the ETL process.
  • Implement data validation and error handling mechanisms.

5. Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with data analysts, database administrators, and other developers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices and technical skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on SSIS.
  • Proven experience in systems design and architecture.
  • Strong understanding of ETL concepts and data integration techniques.
  • Proficiency in SSIS, including developing, deploying, and troubleshooting SSIS packages.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server).
  • Familiarity with other Microsoft SQL Server tools and technologies (e.g., SSRS, SSAS).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and design.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other ETL tools and technologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and data integration in cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of security practices related to data integration and ETL processes.
  • Certifications in Microsoft SQL Server or related technologies.
