Job Summary

My lab is interested in the general question of how signaling circuits generate complex cellular behaviors such as cell polarity, motility, growth, and differentiation. Because these processes have been difficult to understand with standard techniques, we are developing new approaches to isolate and quantitatively interrogate individual steps in the signaling cascade.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of undergraduate experimental research experience and familiarity with mammalian tissue culture and basic molecular biology, and a background in cell biology is a plus.  We are looking for a 2 year time commitment, and candidates ultimately interested in pursing graduate school are encouraged to apply.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Please note: An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
