The Stewardship Coordinator focuses on administrative project management and support towards conservation goals. This role is integral in managing TNC-owned preserves, supporting habitat restoration, monitoring conservation easements, and participating in field-based activities like preserve management, species monitoring, and prescribed fire efforts across the entire state. The position also entails data management, facilitating meetings, conservation planning, and maintaining project records. It requires a blend of field and office responsibilities, emphasizing teamwork, multi-project coordination, and GIS expertise. Collaborating across various levels of TNC, the Stewardship Coordinator plays a crucial part in conserving natural habitats and ecosystems in Georgia.

What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, ecology, natural resources management or related field and 2 years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience coordinating multiple projects.
- Experience handling standard business communications.
- Must be able to obtain the qualifications for Fire Fighter Type 2 (FFT2), including Introduction to ICS (I-100), Human Factors on the Fire line (L-180), Introduction to the National Incident Management System (IS-700), Introduction to Wild Land Fire Behavior (S-190), Firefighting Training (S-130), and one training burn serving under the supervision of a qualified FFT2. - Must achieve physical fitness standard as determined by local Fire Program Manager and the TNC Fire Manual.
Desired Qualifications:
- 2-4 years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in using Esri’s ArcGIS products including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online as well as knowledge of geospatial data collection.
- Ability to complete tasks independently within assigned time frames.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, with assignments sometimes coming from several sources, and work independently.
- Ability to coordinate project information from several sources to populate databases, create reports, and produce manual files.
- Experience utilizing databases for data entry and report production preferred.
- Strong administrative skills, including attention to detail and numerical ability.
- Ability to plan, administer, and record work-team meetings and activities results.
- Knowledge of ecological land management principles.
- Knowledge of current trends and practices in conservation, land management, and natural resource preservation.
SALARY INFORMATION
The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $25.82-$27.47 hourly rate. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate’s location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
