As a Strategic Assessments Analyst, you will conduct analysis to support competition planning and examine both the near term and the far term over two decades or more. You will have sensitivity to changes in the competitive environment and sensitivity to adversaries, other competitors, and third player goals, strategies, and actions. You’ll have an orientation to key factors in the state of the competition, especially military balances, contingency outcomes, and the competitive positions of the two sides. You’ll be familiar with the net assessment process, planning and analyzing wargames, and contingency analyses.
You’ll employ a unique depth and mix of advanced methodological expertise and experience spanning evaluating and employing multiple qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques ranging from statistical analyses to discourse, decision-analytic and predictive modeling, and expertise with strategic deterrence analysis.

You Have:
10+ years of experience in research and analysis
Experience with military intelligence and assessment as related to strategic decision-making
Top Secret clearance
Doctorate degree in Asian Studies, Organizational Analysis, Strategic Studies, Russian Studies, Intelligence Studies, International Relations, Military History, Defense and Strategic Studies, Foreign Affairs, International Politics, or Economics
Nice If You Have:
Ability to show 3 published works in peer-reviewed journals or university press books within the areas of conflict processes, strategic studies, and analytical approaches to national security decision-making that show expertise in qualitative or quantitative methods, analytical statistical methods, or historical approaches using archival materials
Possession of excellent writing skills
TS/SCI clearance
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
