Strategic Projects Team Manager
Faculty of Medicine & Health
Reports to: Faculty Operations Director

Are you a talented and experienced Project or Programme Manager with the skills and experience to help us develop and deliver our ambitious vision for the future of healthcare education & research?

Do you have experience of successfully delivering projects which enhance organisational effectiveness; involving people, structural and business change?

Do you have good working knowledge of how equity, diversity and inclusion applies in the higher education or related sectors?

Are you interested in helping us develop our approach to embedding principles of equity, diversity and inclusion in strategic change?

The Faculty Strategic Projects Team was brought together approximately 18 months ago to manage the portfolio of faculty strategic projects which will help enhance our offer to students, our workplaces, operating model and the culture of the faculty. The projects are typically complex, involving a variety of stakeholders and can involve people, structural and business change. This requires the team to use both project and change management methodologies depending on the needs of the project.  The Faculty has a strong commitment to embedding equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) into all our business and across all our strategic goals. To deliver against the University’s EDI Implementation Plan and associated Key Performance Indicators, we are developing a more strategic, integrated approach to the development and delivery of our EDI projects and activities.

As Strategic Projects Team Manager you will manage the team of project and change managers delivering the faculty portfolio of strategic projects and initiatives. You will ensure effective management of the portfolio of strategic projects, setting standards and developing our approach and capabilities for project and change management. You may also lead individual projects.
