This is an exciting opportunity to join our reshaped Student Systems, Data and Business Improvement team as a Student Administrative Systems Adviser with special responsibility for supporting the use of the university’s Student Information Desk (SID) system.
Located within Academic Registry, you will work in partnership with business and process owners, as well as other colleagues across the University, and in particular Student Operations and Support, to ensure optimal use of a range of student and curriculum-related systems.
Strong communication skills will be important in order to communicate confidently, accurately and clearly demonstrating sensitivity and diplomacy to a range of colleagues at all levels of the organisation, and to external stakeholders. You should be committed to providing a high standard of customer service, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach. Some of the key functions of your role will be:
- Provide first and second line support for system users including access management, query resolution and system configuration
- Work with colleagues to devise and deliver a comprehensive programme of online and in- person training for both new and experienced system users
- Actively contribute to the development of corporate system roadmaps as required
- Have the ability to translate complex or difficult information and procedures into system processes
- Be able to communicate effectively with a range of colleagues at all levels as well as with external stakeholders
- Be an enthusiastic and supportive team player but also able to work independently
This is a full-time (37.0 hours per week), permanent post. Job-sharers are welcome to apply.
