Niels Bohr Institute at Faculty of Science, the University of Copenhagen is looking for a Student Assistant within communication for the NQCP programme. Start date is 1 April 2024 or as soon as possible.
About us
The Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP) is establishing a talented and diverse international team to create a cutting-edge quantum programme in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark. At the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, where the formulation of Quantum Mechanics was born 100 years ago, we aim to establish an international quantum computing programme, funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation, that will drive research and innovations at multiple levels – from developing scalable quantum processor technologies to solutions for the quantum-classical control and readout interface, and all the way to quantum algorithms and applications. The long-term mission of the programme is to develop fault-tolerant quantum computing hardware and quantum algorithms that solve life-science-relevant chemical and biological problems.
The job
The Student Assistant will work on communication tasks related to developing NQCP as an innovative research organisation and a prominent actor in the quantum computing ecosystem.

Terms of salary and employment
The employment is made in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Organisations of Public Employees – governmental institutions (the OAO-S collective agreement) and under the Professional Agreement for clerical employees, laboratory technicians and it officers in the state. The minimum wage is DKK 132,68 (1 October 2023-level). Salary will be based on seniority.
The place of work is NQCP, Blegdamsvej 17, 2100 Copenhagen.
The average number of working hours will be up to 12 hours per week, and the working schedule is flexible.
Remuneration is based solely on the actual number of hours worked, and you are not guaranteed a fixed number of hours.
Appointment will be subject to receipt of a security clearance
The University of Copenhagen (KU) is in the process of designing a new shared administrative structure at KU, expected to bring about changes within the next year to a year and a half. The goal of the administrative reform is, among other things, to strengthen cross-functional collaboration, increase efficiency, and ensure good career paths for administrative staff at KU.
