Department of Information Technology

The Student Assistant will support the Department of Information Technology on All Campuses beginning Spring 2024. 
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

• Assists instructor in the classroom with student questions
• Providing assistance with tutoring and grade posting as requested
• Maintains lab facilities and equipment

Shift Specifics

• 10 – 15 hours per week
• Flexible with schedule of availability

Educational Requirements

• Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Preferred Education

• Current enrollment or successful completion of IT 1230 (Web Technologies) or IT 1430 (Web Page Development) and IT 2430 (Data Programming I) with a grade of ¿B¿ or better
• Pursing a degree in Information Technology or a related field.

$15.00 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
