The Max-Planck-Institute for Neurobiology of Behaviour – caesar (MPINB) is a neuroethology institute located in Bonn that studies how the collective activity of the vast numbers of interconnected neurons in the brain gives rise to the plethora of animal behaviors. Our research spans a large range of scales from the nano-scale imaging of brain circuitry, to large-scale functional imaging of brain circuitry during behavior, to the quantification of natural animal behaviors.

The International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) for Brain & Behavior is a fully-funded PhD program in the field of neuroethology and neuroscience. IMPRS for Brain & Behavior is a collaboration between the Max Planck Institute for Neurobiology of Behavior – caesar (MPINB), the University of Bonn, and the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) in Bonn. Student Assistant (m/f/div) – Support for Graduate Program
(flexible hours)

The position is initially limited to one year. Working hours are flexible (maximum 9 hours per week).

    Your profile

    • Administrative support (e.g. certificates, transcripts, process applications, process travel grants, maintain databases)
    • Support of international PhD students (e.g. enrolment at the University of Bonn)
    • Support for the organization of social events and workshops

    Your profile

    • Enrolled at a MSc program at the University Bonn (e.g. neuroscience, biology, computer science, mathematics or a related field)
    • Based in Bonn as on-site work is required
    • excellent communication skills in both English and German
    • Good organizational and structural skills
    • Good Microsoft Office skills
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
