The Division of Biomedical & Life Sciences (BLS) are seeking to appoint a Student Programmes Officer to lead the BLS Teaching Office. The team currently comprises of six positions (some of which are part-time) who work together in a shared manner to support teaching, planning and assessment.
This exciting opportunity would be suitable for an experienced administrator with excellent organisational, IT and interpersonal skills, with experience of working in a busy and thriving environment within the Higher Education sector. You should be able to juggle a busy workload and have enthusiasm for the role. You will lead the BLS Teaching Office team to ensure a high-level administrative service is provided to our students, academic staff and central services.
You will work collaboratively with the faculty and central professional service divisions, leading on continuous improvement and driving new initiatives to meet strategic objectives that enhance the student experience. The main areas of activities you will be working on are quality assurance, student engagement and assessment. This varied and challenging role offers wide scope for personal and professional development.
You will be based in Biomedical and Life Sciences, on the main Bailrigg campus, part of the Faculty of Health & Medicine and will interact with academic staff, technical support staff and students. The Faculty of Health and Medicine consists of three divisions, Health Research, Biomedical and Life Sciences, and Lancaster Medical School. The Faculty provides an environment that strongly supports the individual needs of each employee, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
