Student Worker – Pediatric Cardiology

Position Description:

Purpose

Under the supervision of the lab PI, perform engineering-based research applicable to cardiovascular disease as part of educational and research experiences assocated with the completion of an MS program.

Primary Functions

  • With PI guidance as needed, lead the planning and conducting of research study activities.
  • Conduct research studies in accordance with institutional approvals and laboratory safety protocols.
  • Accurately collect and enter research data into specified programs or databases.
  • Participate in the statistical analysis and interpretation of research findings.
  • Prepare typewritten scientific writings and presentations related to research findings for local or national meetings and assist tin the creation and submission of manuscripts for peer reviewed publication.
  • Maintain a program timeline to ensure succesful completion of tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge – Skills – Abilities

Knowledge of computers, clerical procedures, customer service standards, collaboration, and information management. Organization, time management, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.


Preferred Schedule:


Casual Part-Time Role with expectations for coverage to meet business needs.


Position Requirements:

Specifications

Appropriate experience may be substituted on equivalent basis.

Minimum Required Education: High school or equivalent.

Preferred Education: Enrollment in a BS degree program within science, technology, engineering and/or math (STEM) emphasis.

Minimum Required Experience: No experience required.

Preferred Field of Study: Biological Engineering or other related scientific field.

Certification: CITI training within 5 days of hire.
