FHI 360 has an exciting internship opportunity for a student interested in growing their skills within the international development sector. Under close supervision, an Intern will perform entry level professional duties which will provide the opportunity for professional training in various functional areas throughout the organization. Internship assignments serve to offer practical experience and broad exposure to a global nonprofit development organization.
#EAWA (2017-2026) is a USAID-funded project whose main responsibility is to support the efforts of Benin, Burkina and Togo to fight against HIV/AIDS by improving the clinical cascades of 3 countries through the implementation of the US government’s PEPFAR regional program. # EAWA manages approximately 100 sub-grants across its three country offices. Due to the PEPFAR/Fiscal Year lines, most of these grants must be renewed, changed, or reset each year at the same time. This leads to an intense, focused period of grant development, review, and approvals leading up to the 1 October start of the fiscal year. In order ensure the highest quality in the most efficient time-turnarounds, EAWA is seeking (3) detail-oriented English (native) and French-speaking interns to support with document review and budget narrative writing in issuing FY25 grants, as well as helping to ensure the closing process for previous years.
This is a paid internship with a flexible schedule based on project needs.
Anticipated Duration: Summer 2024 Semester: May – August
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour (undergraduate) / $23.00/hour (masters)
Location: This position is remote and open to US-based candidates. Must be able to overlap at least 5 working hours per day with the country/ field office (Benin, Burkina and Togo). Strong preference given to candidates residing in Eastern time zone
