About the Organization
The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans is the premier graduate school fellowship for immigrants and children of immigrants in the United States. Every year we invest in the graduate education of 30 New Americans who are poised to make significant contributions to US society, culture, or their academic field. Each new Fellow receives up to $90,000 in financial support over two years, and they join a lifelong community, which includes former US General Surgeon Vivek Murthy, Founding Co-Director of Stanford’s Human-Centered AI Institute Fei-Fei Li, former ambassador to Uruguay and Spain Julissa Reynoso, and many more leaders in fields ranging from science and law to the social sciences, humanities, and arts. We are committed to honoring the accomplishments and contributions of immigrants to the United States.
Role Overview
The summer intern will help us update Fellows’ information on Salesforce and our listservs and participate in our weekly team meetings. Depending on their skills, they may have opportunities to help with other areas of the Fellowship, from accounting to creating reports or social media posts highlighting some of our Fellows in specific fields. As a four-person office we are looking for someone who is a proactive problem-solver, an excellent communicator, and a team player. No full-time experience is necessary; however, experience with administrative work in a multi-cultural setting is highly desired.
The intern will be provided with a computer to use during the internship.
