VANRATH are delighted to be assisting a major Wealth Management Company with the Recruitment of a Supply Chain Analyst to join a growing and dynamic team based in Larne.Salary – £30,000 – £35,000 + Hybrid working + Private Medical + Fantastic Benefits.Hours – Mon-Fri-09:00-17:00Responsibilities:
- Working with the business and Procurement Officers to source and procure a wide range of required goods and services, ensuring optimal value for money within defined service and quality criteria.
- Ensuring that the company procurement processes are followed to seek and evaluate competitive tenders and proposals for the supply of goods and service, including negotiating with suppliers on all commercial and contractual matters to achieve optimal levels of value versus risk.
- Identifying opportunities to add improvements to the “bottom line” through cost savings or process changes, whilst promoting continual improvement in all aspects of the Procurement function.
- Managing supplier relationships and term contracts, co-ordinating multiple stakeholder interfaces across company to ensure a consistent and collaborative approach.
- Identifying and implementing supplier improvement actions, operating 360 feedback processes and resolving contractual and supplier disputes as and when they occur whilst having a sound understanding and adherence to Company and department standards, policies and procedures.
- Developing and maintaining strong and positive working relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring that requirements are understood and addressed, as well as promoting the Procurement function as a positive enabler and an integral partner to the company business.
- Operating and maintaining required systems to support and improve the Procurement function, as well as undertaking other procurement and supply chain tasks that are required from time to time.
- Working closely with the HSEQ teams to ensure that the supply chain is safe and delivers quality goods and services.
Essential Criteria:
- Basic knowledge of the Procurement life cycle and value creation through negotiation and contract delivery.

Qualifications
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent (essential).
- GCSE (level 5 or higher) or A levels (grade C or above) in Maths & English.
- Commitment to gaining procurement qualifications (CIPS), with study support (entry level at CIPS level 4, with the aim to complete level 6 and gain MCIPS accreditation within 3 years
- Basic understanding of Procurement principles, general and contract law.
- Basic awareness of legislation which may impact Procurement.
- Some work experience in Procurement or supply chain experience in a comparable level role.
- Ability to identify commercial and contract risks and seek guidance on how to manage them appropriately.
- Awareness of e-tendering systems.
- Experience of SAP (desirable).
- Strong administration and organisation skills.
- Competent IT/IS skills (e.g. MS Office).
- Experience of working in an energy, engineering or heavy industry focused environment (desired).
