THE OPPORTUNITY
Plan International Philippines is looking to engage a Supply Chain and Procurement who will provide the necessary logistics and procurement processes to ensure efficient and effective program delivery implementation.
The post-holder will facilitate the purchases/procurement of high-quality and cost-efficient supplies and services for the program/project team of the Lanao Del Sur Program Area/Office.
As the Supply Chain and Procurement Officer:
- You will analyze the procurement transactions and coordinate with relevant staff regarding budget management, procurement, availability of funds, and or updates on Work Breakdown Structures.
- You will prepare the Supplier’s Registration Form and secure Business documents, as appropriate and as required.
- You will ensure goods and services are sourced from reputable and vetted service providers/contractors.
- You will monitor and update the Procurement tracker and other tools in preparing reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
- You will ensure leased properties are covered with appropriate insurance.
- In exceptional cases, you may be asked to support emergency response activities in the communities covered by our work.
To be successful in this role you will need among other things:
- Bachelor’s degree in any relevant program, including 5+ years of responsibility in procurement, logistics, and/or office administration.
- Experience and/or background in SAP processes and procedures is desirable.
- Able to work independently and is a team player.
- Proven ability to work with trustworthiness and integrity and a clear commitment to the organization’s core values and humanitarian principles.
- Well-developed communication skills, (I.e., good command of both oral and written English and Filipino or any other Philippine language) and good human relations, extending to a wide range of internal and external partners and stakeholders as a representative of the organization.
- Experience and the ability to live and work in diverse cultural contexts, in a culturally appropriate manner.
- Applicants must be based in the Philippines and Filipino nationals.
