The Logistics /Warehouse Officer updates, supervises and Control all the DRC & DDG Warehouse/Stores in coordination with Site Logistic officers/Assistants. The main objective is to run and maintain an efficient and transparent logistics inventory system, that responds to the current needs for the country operations, including Emergency responses and complies with the DRC/DDG operations handbook.
Responsibilities:           
Data collection tools development and management:
  • Understand, respect and control DRC policies and procedures. Focus on supporting transparency and accountability of the organization.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with DRC & DDG Programme
  • Maintain accurate systems and regularly updating Warehouse, Assets and GPE Database.
  • Assist Logistics department for preparation of any reporting required in terms of Stock, Asset, GPE Reports, Deliveries, Goods Received and compliance documentation.
Position’s Specific Objectives and Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining and updating records of all inventory/Asset on DRC ERP Software, Dynamic and Offline databases.
  • Responsible for physical inspection of Warehouse/Stores to be done on a regular basis, also ensuring that the stock is stored correctly and rotated effectively according to DRC Warehousing Procedures.
  • Responsible for physical inspection of assets/GPE to be done on a regular basis.
  • Play a key role in asset verification and physical count in delegation committee.
  • To maintain record of attractive equipment handover/ take over to ensure good tracking.
  • Prepare damage/ loss report for assets/ GPE.
  • Effectively manage analyses and sort all incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Review requests; authenticate all issuing and receiving documents
  • Issue Asset/GPE as required to the area office staff.
  • Maintain good work standards and controls, ensuring proper stock handling, record keeping and storeroom methods.

  • Refueling of vehicles and generators.
  • Ensure the vehicles servicing and maintenance of vehicles and generators according to DRC fleet guidelines.
  • Ensure efficient servicing and maintenance system of all vehicles according to DRC fleet guidelines.
  • Control over vehicle logbooks in a monthly basis for reports.
  • Accurate record keeping and monitoring of fuel consumption.
  • Preparing a monthly fuel consumption report for Logistic Department Kabul.
  • Consolidate fuel consumption with fuel purchases.
  • Preparing a monthly service and vehicles repairing report to logistic department Kabul.
  • Act as focal point for sending vehicles for repairing and service to workshop and keep record individual for vehicles.
  • Provide service timely to the area staff and teams when it comes to sign out equipment and expendables.
  • Perform any other tasks as instructed by the area manager.
  • Close coordination with local procurement team to handle the procurement of goods and services require for area office
Filing:
  • Ensure that an organized filing system is in place.
  • Support Logistics Manager in the provision of accurate updated documentation in case of audit
  • Ensure efficient servicing and maintenance system of all vehicles according to DRC transport guidelines.
  • Ensure that an organized filing system is in place, which should include records of work done and vehicle performance records.
  • Ensure that the preposition spare parts stock at an appropriate levels according to needs and availability.
  • Provide oversight on the management and maintenance schedule for generators, ensuring they are maintained and serviced.
  • Provide weekly work plans and monthly reports to project manager and logistic officer and actively participate in the weekly/ monthly coordination and departmental meetings.
  • Adhere fully to the DRC Code of Conduct.
  • Any other task and duties assigned by Line Manager, such as providing cover for a colleague who is away.
To be successful in this role you must have:
  • Experience and technical competencies: 
  • At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in logistics operations.
Education/qualifications:
  • High School degree or BA in Business Administration
  • Solid computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Languages:
  • English (Written and Spoken) – Good
  • Dari / Pashto (Written and Spoken) – Fluent
