Supply of Medical Consumables for VMMC & ZACH

SECTION 1: INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND

This Request is issued to solicit competitive quotations from LOCALLY ZIMBABWEAN REGISTERED qualified and eligible suppliers for the supply and delivery of medical consumables required to support implementation of the ZACH and Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) programmes.

These programmes provide essential clinical and preventive health services across multiple healthcare facilities in Zimbabwe. The consumables to be procured are critical for routine medical procedures, infection prevention and control (IPC), and general facility operations.

Given the clinical nature of the end use, all products must be:

• Fit for intended medical purpose
• Compliant with applicable regulatory requirements
• Manufactured under certified quality management systems

The procurement aims to ensure:

• Continuous availability of essential consumables
• Adherence to infection prevention standards
• Safe and efficient service delivery

SECTION 3: DELIVERY AND PACKAGING REQUIREMENTS

• Deliveries must be consolidated and clearly labelled per item and batch
• Packaging must ensure protection against moisture, contamination, and physical damage
• Each shipment must include:

SECTION 4: EVALUATION CRITERIA

Quotations will be evaluated based on:

SECTION 5: QUOTATION SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Suppliers must submit:

• Completed quote pricing schedule
• Technical offer with specifications

Incomplete submissions may be rejected.

 

SECTION 6: GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• UNDP reserves the right to accept or reject any quotation
• Partial awards may be made
• Prices must remain valid for a minimum of 90 days
• Payment terms: As per UNDP standard term – 30 days DAP
