Position Summary
United Way of Central Indiana recognizes that the key to
success is a strong and cohesive
team that works through shared values to achieve our
mission. The Support Specialist is a member of
the Sector Support team and will assist the Director of
Infrastructure with the administration of the
infrastructure funds initiativeswhich are key components of United
Way of Central Indiana’s support of our vital human servicesnetwork
priority. These initiatives include the Facilities Maintenance Fund
(FMF), the TechnologyFund (TF) and the Capital Projects Fund (CPF).
These three funds are designed to address thevarious capital and
technological needs of United Way of Central
Indiana’s accredited partner organizations andcommunity
projects utilizing capital grants,
planning assistance, consulting services and
training.
Position Duties & Responsibilities
The following statements are intended to describe the general
nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to

- Manage grant
administration processes, ensuring accurate documentation
and compliance. - Fostereffective
communication through correspondence with partner organizations,
volunteers, and vendors. - Prepare materials
and assist with
planning logistics for volunteer committee
meetings, ensuring seamless and efficient
proceedings. - Assist with
preparation of grant proposals and reports for funding
partners. - Assist with
development and implementation ofeducational workshops
relevant to Sector Support initiatives.
- Coordinate
with Impact Leadership Team,Strategic Intelligence and
Information, and Marketing/Brand Team to help effectively
communicatepositive outcomes from infrastructure
initiatives. - Serve as a knowledgeable
liaison between the Sector Support team and other parts
of the organization, providing expertise and
best practices related to infrastructure funds and
other Sector Support initiatives. - Support other
Sector Support initiatives, including but not limited
to upkeep of CRM database,contract invoicing, volunteer
management, meeting coordination. - Work directly
with Director of Infrastructure, Senior Director of Sector
Support, and other members of the Sector Support Team, as
needed. -
Undertake additional duties as assigned by
the Sector Support team.
Qualifications

Education and or Experience:
- Associatedegree in
related field or related
experience required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred
but notrequired. - At least 2-4 years of
relevant work experience preferred. - Proficiency in
Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on advanced Excel
skills. - Knowledge of the
nonprofit sector is beneficial. - Effective written and
verbal communication skills. - A demonstrated ability
to generate reports and work comfortably with complex data and
proven experience working cross-functionally in a complex
organization are required. - Committed to personally
championing diversity, equity, and inclusion
initiatives.
