YOUR ROLE
In this diverse and rewarding role located in Campbelltown/Merrylands, you will provide support to clients of Homelessness and Housing Services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide a variety of supports to clients and work in cooperation with the case management division.
- Maintain daily records and assist in all aspects of providing accommodation services.
- Ability to cover a variety of rostered shifts (including on public holidays) based on operational requirements if necessary.
- Ensure that client support is consistent with the Client Service Delivery Model (CSDM), including demonstrating support consistent with trauma informed care practices.
- Attend to the primary needs of clients.
- Assist and/or supervise a variety of client activities such as groups and programmes.
- Liaise with appropriate service staff to ensure client needs are attended to and providing accurate, up-to-date information and practical support to clients on a range of issues.
- Advocate for clients on a need basis with external agencies
- Transport of clients as required.
- Other duties as directed.
YOU WILL NEED
- Appropriate certificate or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated customer service, common sense & problem solving skills.
- Ability to use client data base; Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel,Outlook and intermediate typing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to use sound judgment, maintain a high level of confidentiality & act appropriately in crisis/emergency situations.
- Current first aid certificate.
- Ability to maintain an ethical, yet non-judgmental, attitude towards residents and staff, and commitment to this.
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation as it relates to the workplace.
- Ability to work a rotating roster covering day & afternoon shifts when required.
- Current NSW driver licence.
