ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Support Worker at Open Minds, you’ll play a crucial role in assisting clients to achieve their personal goals and enhance their independence. This involves implementing activities that promote self-sufficiency, celebrating client achievements, and connecting clients with community resources. Additionally, you’ll provide essential domestic support, assist with medical appointments, and report on client needs and progress. Your efforts will directly contribute to improving the quality of life for our clients and reinforcing positive behaviours.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for candidates with prior experience as a Support Worker, particularly with complex personal care clients. Essential qualifications include a current Open Driver’s Licence, NDIS Workers Screening Clearance, Blue Card, and the NDIS Workers Orientation Certificate (or a willingness to obtain it). You should possess a compassionate and proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
