What you’ll do
- Foster independence and empower our clients to achieve their goals through encouragement and guidance.
- Facilitate community participation and social inclusion
- Provide positive support to our clients with their daily activities, such as meal preparation, hygiene routines and medication management, promoting a sense of stability and routine via in-home and day activity care.
- Respond promptly and effectively to any challenges or issues that may arise, ensuring a positive, safe and nurturing environment for everyone.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of individual progress and activities, while adhering to Cara’s policies and procedures.
About you
- A passion for supporting people with disabilities to live their best lives.
- Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
- Flexibility and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
- Have valid work visa and rights to work in Australia.
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate, valid full Driver’s Licence and a NDIS Worker clearance.
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent experience (not essential but desirable).
