Job Summary:
The Survivor Care Training Director will lead and manage survivor care training initiatives that target survivor care staff, in collaboration with the education team, as well as professionals working in the field of human trafficking and/or child sexual exploitation in countries where OUR Rescue survivor care is active (e.g., staff of NGOs, government child protection agencies, law enforcement, prosecutor’s offices, judiciary, etc.). This requires strong organizational and leadership skills as well as excellent communication skills. The individual will identify survivor care training needs in OUR countries, develop and oversee survivor care training programs and initiatives, and work closely with OUR survivor care staff on the ground to tailor survivor care training to the unique needs of each region.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership and Management:
- Work with survivor care staff and community professionals to determine training needs in countries/regions.
- Develop comprehensive project plans for survivor care training initiatives, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Oversee survivor care training initiatives, providing direction, support, and motivation to involved staff.
- Oversee development and management of online survivor care resource portal
- Populate via education form a database to track training events, partner organizations, HR (for OUR staff trainings) and impact/outcomes assessments (working in collaboration with senior director of Education/Prevention)
- Ensure project milestones and deliverables are met according to the approved plans.
- Collaborate with senior director of Education/Prevention on all projects.
- Provide regular, ongoing case management training /supervision to survivor care staff globally
- Participate in additional training management activities as requested by the VP of Educ/Prev., the executive team and the OUR Rescue board.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, psychology, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of training and management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing multiple initiatives involving diverse cultural groups.
- Fluent in English
- Willing to work extensively with interpreters
