for a Sustainability Manager to work for Vacherin.
Job Purpose
To deliver the requirements of the CH&CO sustainability strategy in the Vacherin London
workplace business. The sustainability manager will evidence and showcase operational
sustainability excellence and be the face of sustainability at Vacherin with our clients and
customers.
Role and Responsibilities
- Management and development of sustainability tool(s) to collate data and execute change
- Support operational teams to monitor, track and report on all Sustainability
objectives/tools - Build relationships with clients, recognise their needs and deliver on their data requests
- Collect and analyse sustainability data, using complex data sets and create long term
solutions to automate data transfer - Deliver in person and online training, webinars and events
- Produce per client sustainability reporting
- To be the sustainability triage for business operations, providing day to day support to
the Vacherin operational team on key sustainability matters - Deliver carbon reduction across menus
- Deliver a food waste reduction programme across all sites
- Work in tandem with Food Development and Procurement teams to deliver products and
ingredients with the highest environmental and social credentials - Maintain relationships with our charity partners and work to deliver projects that provide
increased social value - Be a spokesperson for sustainability and represent Vacherin and CH&CO at events and
presentations - Liaise with marketing team to support with relevant/timely Social Media posts and update of
company website - Administration and financial support including raising purchase orders, collating expenses
and processing invoices
Essential Skills and Experience
Extensive knowledge and experience of food sustainability is a must. Applicants should have a
minimum 2 years experience working in a similar field and/or degree level in environment and
sustainability.

skills - Self-motivated with a passion to succeed
- Hands on, can do attitude

PERSON SPECIFICATION
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Flexible approach to work, whilst managing own priorities and workload
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Data collection and analysis
- Comfortable communicating at all levels of seniority
- Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and execute tight deadlines where required
- Excellent problem solver
- Good Microsoft Office skills (specifically, Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Understand the specific environmental challenges facing the hospitality industry
- Extensive knowledge of Environmental Legislation
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Implementing or maintaining certifications such as SRA, Planet Mark
- Experience of producing management information at an appropriate level
- Understanding of environmental and sustainability issues for hospitality industry
- Minimum of 2 years experience
- Ability to adapt to change and assist in change management process Essential
- Degree level in environment and sustainability or other equivalent experienceDESIRABLE
