In short:

We’re looking for a Sustainability Manager to take ownership of our impact journey and
communicate the positive environmental changes we’re making in cities across the UK

Why now?

Zedify is shaking things up in the logistics sector by transforming the way first and last-mile
deliveries are done in cities. We are founded on a mission to make cities cleaner, healthier
and more liveable for everyone.

With some great financial backers, and during a period of significant growth, we’re at an
exciting stage. To help us navigate growth alongside our goals to become a certified Bcorp and
to continue to lead the last-mile carrier market on sustainability, we’re on the hunt for a
brilliant Sustainability Manager.

In the role, you will:

  • Delight and inspire our customers and prospects with compelling communications.
  • Monitor and report our Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions across the business.
  • Measure and track our positive GHG and liveability impact across the network and publish
    monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
  • Influence and respond to legal and regulatory requirements in the UK and EU, to ensure
    compliance.
  • Take ownership of our BCorp application and oversee all BCorp audits.
  • Liaise with all staff on our sustainability work: you’ll handle surveys, and implement new
    sustainability policies and procedures.
  • Help us walk the walk: you’ll assess and optimise procurement supply chains in line with key
    milestones.
  • Work with internal and external teams on exciting research projects.
  • Communicate our sustainability-led vision, mission and achievements to our key stakeholders
    with verve.

What we’re looking for in you:

In a nutshell, we’re searching for an optimistic, confident and exceptional written and verbal
communicator
, able to present complex issues in an approachable and compelling way.

We need you to have:

  • Proven communication excellence with examples of vibrant, inspiring campaigns or projects you
    have delivered with flair.
  • An impeccable eye for detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Knowledge of the sustainability sector, life cycle assessment, GHG emissions measurement and
    reporting.
  • A strong sense of ownership- you’ll set a high standard and will always be looking to raise the
    bar further.
  • A track record of system and process improvement.

We ask that you are:

  • Happy to make occasional trips to London and Zedify hubs around the country.
  • Keen to make a difference and be part of a team that’s excited about addressing big issues like
climate change and making our cities more liveable.
  • A good fit with our ideals and ethos on sustainability and ethics; commercially astute and
motivated to make an immediate impact.
  • Willing to participate, add value, and successfully solve the challenges of a rapidly growing
    technology business.

We’d prefer it if you have:

  • A graduate degree or similar in environmental science or sustainability.

What to expect from us:

  • Support to grow your skill set and advance your career with onboarding and ongoing support from
our current Chief Sustainability Officer and co-founder, as well as a personal training budget.
  • You’ll have the opportunity to play a crucial role in shaping the future direction of our
    impact journey.
  • A salary of between £35,000 and £45,000 depending on experience.
  • 25 days holiday, bonus and/or share options, an EV & cycle-to-work scheme as well as a
    great team culture.

If you think this sounds exciting, we’d love to hear from you. Send us your CV right away, and
tell us:

  • Why you are interested,
  • How you can contribute to our ambition, and,
  • Why Zedify feels like the right place for you.

We promote equal opportunities and a workplace where each individual can contribute and realise
their full potential. By working actively to embrace diversity, we can enrich every discussion
and decision at Zedify and bring our purpose to life. Our goal is to help create a workplace
where everyone feels welcomed and included, and treated fairly and respectfully.
