OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSIGNMENT To support the development of sustainability plans the project seeks a Sustainability plan development consultant to develop specific sustainability strategy for the Project in Kano state with focus on sustaining key activities at the Hubs and in extension the Spokes.To assess what aspects of the project can be sustained and what can not be sustained.
1.The overall objective of this consultancy is to develop in collaboration with the youth and stakeholders Sustainability plans for TEENSMATA Program for the Youth Hubs and spo located in Kano state.
To conduct a cost analysis of the cost required to run the hubs and use this analysis to develop models that will be finalized through co-creation with interested private sector partners, high net worth individuals and, the Kano state Government.
Models could include:
– Costs for an entire hub
– Costs for specific programming across multiple hubs
– New/adapted programming (eg: financial literacy)
– Other models TBD
2. Review the previous draft Sustainability plan and develop final Sustainability plans for the project including cost analysis
3. Collate the findings from the various MDA Family planning adolescent budget allocation and various aspects of the plan into one comprehensive document.
4. To assess what can and cannot be sustained on the project.
Academic Qualifications
▪ At least a master’s degree in a relevant field in the area of planning, public policy, development or sustainability studies. Experience
▪ At least five years professional experience in strategic planning, sustainability planning and management.
▪ Has experience developing sustainability plans for donor funded projects
▪ Demonstrated experience in working with, private sector, non-governmental organizations, adolescent and other stakeholders in public sector development programs especially in the area of sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
▪ Familiarity with Kano state political and economic landscape will be an added advantage Skills and Competencies: ▪ Ability to work with minimal supervision;
▪ High level written and oral communications skills in English.
▪ Must be result-oriented, a team player, exhibiting high levels of enthusiasm, tact, diplomacy and integrity ▪ Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and professional skills in interacting with Board members and Management;
▪ Skills in facilitation of stakeholder engagements/workshops;
▪ Evidence of having undertaken similar assignments;
▪ Experience in research, policy development, management and programming-related work.
