We are a not for profit organisation that works to empower and support the multicultural community, especially African, in Western Australia. We are looking for a Sustainability Project Lead to join our team for a 3 month contract, starting in February 2024. You will be responsible for enhancing the capacity and sustainability of our organisation through various initiatives, including starting a project to develop a fit-for-purpose venue, leading grant applications to meet our strategies and project plans, and a fundraising and sponsorship strategy to help us raise funds to maximise the impact of our services. You will also liaise and negotiate with potential and existing sponsors, donors, and partners to secure their support and involvement and drive new collaborations.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in fundraising, sponsorship, or sales, preferably in the not for profit sector
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and persuasion skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
  • A commitment to the vision and values of our organisation
  • Your own IT hardware, software and internet access
  • Your own fit-for-purpose remote work environment

The Sustainability Project Lead role is a casual role based remotely with occasional office contact days at our Girrawheen Office. The payment is between $70 and $80 per hour, negotiable according to experience and skills. Hours are negotiable between 12 and 38 hours per week. The contract duration is 3 months, with a possibility of extension depending on funding and performance.
