Sustainable Travel Manager (South-East England)
- £31,454 per annum (pro rata for part time hours)

About the role
We currently have a great opportunity for a motivated person to join us as our Sustainable
Travel Manager. Embedded within the Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, this specialist
role will lead the implementation and development of the Trust’s Travel strategy and action
plan.
Supported by the Programme Manager for Behaviour Change and Engagement, you will be developing
strategies by modifying resources for the Hampshire Hospitals Trust and drawing on previously
published guidelines for behaviour change. You will be working alongside project managers and
project officers across the UK who engage with workplaces and deliver travel plans. You will
have opportunities to share best practice, resources and strategies whilst developing your own
project with the Hospital Trust.
Day to day you will be conducting research, site surveys, examining policies and procedures.
You will build and manage internal and external relationships with other departments in the
Trust.
Candidates should be based within the geographical area, as this role will require working 2-3
days per week from the Hampshire Hospitals, alongside hybrid working.
About you
You will have proven success in delivering practical behaviour change initiatives with
community involvement as a core element.
You will be a strategic thinker, skilled in organizational and planning abilities across a
variety of timescales. You will have the ability to manage projects with multiple
stakeholders.
As a strong communicator, you will have the ability to speak with influence and persuasion.
You will be experienced in building relationships with ease across a wide range of people, with
the ability to produce reports and present to non-technical audiences.
We ask you demonstrate your knowledge of sustainable and active travel options and local/
national policy, legislation and framework.
